Wow it is a long void between seasons!

It is what it is, players come and players go and a lot has been said about wages and contracts etc; end of the day, a players careers lasts around 12 years and they need to establish a living for life beyond, not all lead successful lives after football.
We all were distraught when Mawson and Roberts left, most saying they won't be replaced...but we did! when Lindsay leaves I have faith in the club in getting a more than adequate replacement.

Lindsay is a good league 1 player, however he may struggle in the championship with better forwards.

He developed a real bad habit of shirt pulling when beaten for pace. Surprised he didn't see more bookings or give away more pens.

His pace will be his limitation IMO.

If he has gone, good luck to him played his part in our promotion but now we replace and move on.

We didn't replace them with players up to speed in the division we were in and were subsequently relegated. They had potential, but now they've begun to realise that potential one has been sold, his deputy released and it's looking like we're back to where we were.

Need to judge in August not now, the incoming players could be a lot better or even if they aren't and they click as a team it could be another exiting season. If players want to leave then stuff em it's not always greener on the other side

I agree on last time round. I'm keeping my powder dry & staying confident. Keep DS & Pinnock & bring more signings in like the Derby lad & I think it may be a good season. Who knows as yet?

I'm not berating anyone at the club, I don't have a solution, I think they're doing a good job to be honest, I think the whole situation stinks. We'll spend less money than we make, we'll improve players 200% and add to the wealth of talent in this country, we'll play good football, charge decent prices and be utterly screwed over by this **** sport that we're in.

At the end of the day until Barnsley FC regularly gets 30-40k attendances we will always be a selling team.
I would rather the club sell now whilst there is time to recruit replacements than last couple of days of the window or in January.
Remember one day the bubble will burst then where will football be.
Footballers only have 10 years or so to make money out of football so you can't really blame them.
