    Austrian player amateur player Ismail Gunduz banned for 70 matches for nutting a ref

    bit steep or appropriate?
    Definitely much much more severe than any punishments previously given

    seems a bit over the top to me especially as the ref probably provoked it if he was anything like some of the ones we get

    To be honest he should be banned for life. No excuse for it regardless of how aggrieved he was at the ref.

    I'd go with being banned for life, so no it's not too harsh

    I read somewhere he claimed he didn't do it on purpose, he slipped!

    i put this on a few days ago and said about players having accidents on the pitch
