How good was that? Nothing but pride for every single one of the players that got on the pitch. All 14 of them, and the manager all did an unbelievable job. I'm not gonna review the game because its pretty clear that nearly everyone as seen it in some capacity - but firstly, well done to the supporters for the noise. Yes, it was a little quiet when we were 1-0 down but the noise before they scored, and after we had equalised, was superb. And after the game, wow. Felt for the people who couldn't be there to watch but sounds as if the club did well with the big screen and the atmosphere there was good too.
The equaliser: Absolutely brilliant cross from Devaney. His crossing is so inconsistent but every so often he just pulls out a cracker. Did it a couple of times at the Millennium Stadium but pulled out an even better one today, and Foster attacked it superbly.T
The winner: Firstly, how the hell was it not a penalty? Felt like it was Man U 10 years ago all over again, but then Howard goes and does that. He was back at his brilliant best today. His best performance for months and capped it off in just the right way.
I think each individual deserves a mention for that performance.
- Luke Steele. What a heroic debut. Was difficult to tell just how good his saves were in the first half but the ones in the 2nd half were sensational. A simply superb debut. Well done kid. Particular save that stands out was the one from Benayoun when he ran from that short corner, outrageous save.
- Bobby Hassell. Had to deal with Liverpool's biggest threat until he was inexplicably substituted. His distribution at times was poor but he certainly made up for it with some truly terrific defending. A couple of brilliant last ditch clearances - and the way he denied Benayoun after he'd rounded the keeper, along with Kozluk, was outstanding.
- Rob Kozluk. Solid again - played his part in denying Benayoun just after we'd equalised, and dealt well with Benayoun who was Liverpool's other main danger.
- Steve Foster & Dennis Souza : Heroes. Dealt with Crouch & Kuyt in the air so admirably. Foster won every ball in the air when we attacked at set-pieces, and then scored the crucial equaliser by overpowering and outleaping Jamie Carragher. Souza can be inconsistent admittedly, but today? Outstanding. Just as he was against WBA.
- Diego Leon - Kept the ball very well and was so composed. He and Anderson kept the ball when there was nothing on ahead of them. Good defensively.
- Martin Devaney - Fantastic cross for the equaliser, and a great run near the end when I thought he was going to take on Carragher and score, but chose to pass. Has come on so much on the defensive side of his game - and deserves a lot of credit.
- Anderson Silva - Gave the ball away for the goal, but he did that through his commitment to playing football rather than hoofing the ball away. His defending, particularly in the air was excellent - and I stand by my comment that we are very lucky to have him - could easily be playing for a lower Prem club.
- Brian Howard - Brilliant. Thats the Brian Howard we all know and love. Driving forward, working back, leading by example and scoring a terrific winner. A credit to the club today Brian, superb.
- Ferenczi - Worked as hard as ever, won some good headers. First touch suspect at times but to be expected as he hasn't been playing - and his workrate never gave the Liverpool defence a break.
- Nardiello - Never really his kind of game against a defence as strong as that but he worked and worked, forced a good save out of Itandje.
- Van Homoet - Probably his best 30 minutes in a Barnsley shirt. Aside from a rash tackle that got him a yellow, he did very very well defensively. One big sliding tackle on Benayoun inside the box as the highlight.
- JCR - Did what you expect JCR to do. Ran, tricked, and harried.
- Odejayi - He wasn't brilliant. But this is what he is capable of doing when he wants to. Caused panic with his pace and strength, pressurising Hyypia and Carragher relentlessly. Some good touches, some good pace, and a bit of drive. If he does that, then we're all reasonably happy with him. Well done KO.
SIMON DAVEY: Answered a lot of the criticisms aimed at him today. Went to Anfield and went for it. Made substitutions early enough for them to make an impact. Got the team selection and the tactics spot on - and he's just beaten Liverpool. Brilliant.
As for player ratings - every single one of them get a 10. That kind of performance is why we are football fans, because I'm sure we all feel very very proud tonight.
COME ON YOU REDS!

Oh, and key moment of the game aside from the goals - Kozluk and Hassell throwing themselves infront of Benayoun after he rounded Steele. We would inevitably have gone flat if they'd gone back infront so quickly. Brilliant, bodies-on-the-line defending.
