sounds like a few others going to get a run out too.
    From the Star:

BARNSLEY boss Andy Ritchie is poised to make big changes to the line-up tomorrow.
Former Blackpool striker Tommy Wright could be handed his first start on the season at his old club in the Carling Cup first round.
Winger Tony McParland, midfielder Nicky Wroe and striker Nathan Jarman are all poised to be involved too.
Ritchie is set to give full debuts to midfield player Colin Healy and attacking midfielder Michael Coulson.
He also wants to give new keeper Vito Mannone a game. The club need Arsenal's permission to field the teenager in the cup.
"He's third choice at Arsenal, I can't see there being a problem," Ritchie reckoned.

    Feel a bit for him

cos he doesnt seem as 'integrated' with the rest of the lads, warms up on his own, etc. simply cant see him getting a game with the form our 2 wingers are in, and when Nardiello's fit, I suspect he'll be 3rd choice.

I think a run in the Carling Cup has limited financial benefit

attendances are generally poor, and we'd have to beat 3 teams before anyone decent enters the competition, the risk of damage that could be done to our league form through a few unnecessary injuries just aint worth it, I'm afraid. not that I want to see us lose, just wont be that fussed if we do.
