Physical presence: Reds striker Tommy Wright is in line for a surprise start against DerbyWRIGHT SET TO START BARNSLEY STRIKER Tommy Wright could be given a surprise start tonight for Barnsley at Derby County. Manager Andy Ritchie said: "I'm thinking of taking the battering ram approach." Centre forwards Wright and Marc Richards would give Barnsley considerable physical presence. Paul Hayes, Richards' usual strike partner, might begin tonight's game on the bench. In the past Ritchie has also played Hayes wide on the right. That tonight could mean Martin Devaney among the subs. Ritchie was planning to be without central midfield player Brian Howard. His Achilles injury is set to rule him out opening the way for Colin Healy to make his first start in a league match since signing in the summer. Ritchie's other key concern is leaking goals late in games. Coventry beat Barnsley on Saturday with a goal in the last 10 minutes. "In split moments we are losing concentration and being punished for it," he said. "That is the difference between this league and the league below. "We are being disproportionately punished in this league, you cannot afford to slip up against the better players in this league." Derby County are mid table despite only having won one game at home so far. Barnsley are in the market for loan signings in time for Saturday's derby clash with Leeds United at Oakwell. Ritchie admitted he was looking for one or two players to 'freshen things up'. Hull City's 3-2 win at Southend United last night lifted them above Barnsley in the table. Ritchie's team go into tonight's game second from bottom, trailing Hull on goal difference. Said Ritchie: "We are trying to keep the players positive and keep them up. It is our job behind the scenes to keep them up and not allow them to get depressed. We will continue working hard and hopefully get the right result at Derby County." Barnsley from: Colgan, Hassell, Reid, Kay, Williams, Hayes, Togwell, Healy, McIndoe, Richards, Nardiello, Wright, Austin, Heckingbottom, Wroe, Joynes, Letheren, Coulson. Derby County from: Bywater, Edworthy, Camara, Leacock, Moore, Jackson, Oakley, Bisgaard, Barnes, Lupoli,Howard, Stead, Smith,Seth Johnson, Grant, Bolder, Boertien.
