In last 6/7 years it's only ever been a matter of WHEN will we be relegated not if, this league is too strong for teams of our stature, and anyone who's followed BFC in our latest stint in the championship will know we've been punching above our weight for years, struggling and scrapping for every point, this is the season when the struggle will come to end, we're finally going to lose the battle, no amount of windging and wineing will change it, we all just need to accept it, enjoy watching decent teams and football along with seeing more then 200 fans in the away end and make the most if it wile it lasts.
So he is totally and utterly wrong and not allowed to express his opinion??????? Whereas you are allowed to be extremely personal? ??????
Because it is a stupid argument. 1) We are in this league on merit. Over the last few years after promotion, we have stayed outside of the relegation places, therefore we stay in this division. 2) We have spent more years in this division than any other team, in the world, universe, country, ever, ever, ever. 3) Each year there are clubs that are smaller us that compete each year. We arent a tiny club, we arent ******* Rochdale or Accrington Stanley. If you want to think like Keef Hill, then go ahead. Think small, the end result will match your ambitions. There are clubs in this division with very similar crowds to us and are pushing for promotion and if leagues were won on Turnover then Man U would win the league every year and this year they would be 20 points clear. Obviously having money helps but its not everything although I agree it is becoming more and more difficult especially when clubs are cheating the system, like Leeds, Leicester, Bolton etc who have spent far more than what they have. The reason for me calling you a bellend was more down to your ability to come on here after a defeat and post negative ****, being a Barnsley fan isnt about winning every week, it never has been. You knew what you were posting and were looking for a reaction as per usual.
Their wage bill will be double ours if not triple, they pumped a few million in took the risk on getting to the premier league then used the failure payments to fund a top 10 wage budget, we've never done that have we
Is this their last parachute payments year? Even if Burnley don't go up they will have millions to spend next season to challenge for promotion when the likes of Ings and Trippier get signed up by premiership teams.
We didn't go into administration because we over reached or went **** or bust like some clubs did, even then we where only spending the money the club was generating the fact we spent what we was told we would be getting from itv digital instead of waiting until in was in the bank did us as they went tits up
If we stay up come May then what ? The struggle starts all over again in August, it's just going to continue until we finally get relegated we've been priced out of being able to compete anywhere in this league other then the bottom 4,
The writing was on the wall when Mark Robins left, he wanted a Championship budget, one were we would actually compete in this division - we opted for a league 1 budget and brought in Keith Hill to bring in lower league tripe, some of which we still have at the club.
