Looks like he'll be in again on Saturday now McPhail's out. Let's hope Reid and Carbon recover so that Kay can play in there else we'll get killed :((

    At present

another midfielder. We haven't got any others. Well, we have, we have Antony Kay, but whenever we need cover at centre half (and that's a lot considering the injury records of both Carbon and Reid) kay has to move back in to defence. As such the midfield is weakened. That's what you get when you don't adequatley cover all positions in the squad.

Tonge? I know he had to play at the back last night, but I'd rather have him in there with Burns, than Wroe.

He offers the latest target for that section of the crowd that has traditionally jumped on the backs of homegrown players during the 40 years I've been going to Oakwell (and for many years before that no doubt).

Once we've ruined Wroe we can start on Tonge.

Tong can actually play a bit!He can tackle as well. He was excellent last time he took the midfield role on.

It wasn't his best game, but he did okay. He can tackle and pass... two things Wroe can't do.

A number of times last night we had a decent break on, only for Wroe to delay playing the ball through to Nardiello or Richards, which resulted on both of them being 6 yards offside by the time the ball was played. He always does that.

Are you suggestin we're a bit lightweight?

I think Wroe's alright. Nowt special, but I've seen him have some decent games. He doesn't put the fear of god into the opposition like and I think we need that sort of player in this division. I reckon Kay and Burns would do well together. Unfortunately, with Carbon (who has done well when he's played) being made of papermache, Kay and Burns are never going to get a decent run of games together in central midfield.

You fall into that section which will never be happy whatever happens. As my mate said the other day, if there was a premiership for moaning we would win it every year.

No. But we are. I just get frustrated by the likes of Journo who seem to delight in singling young, homegrown players out for 'special attention'. Am I right in thinking this guy has something to do with Oakwell 1575? If so, I'm thinking of starting an 'inane commentary and stating the bl**ding obvious-watch' feature along the lines of the much missed 'Direwatch'.

He had probably his worst game in a Red's shirt. Not at all like the Tonge we know.
