    Was taking the piss out of My huddersfield supporting friends when Town were making a big song and dance about 20 years since their promotion to the second tier, having a 20th anniversary dinner etc.

    Is promotion to the championship really something to celebrate an anniversary of?

    It was a cracking day though , one the best I've had supporting Barnsley and who knows with a bit of luck it might turn out to be double celebration

    Seeing as we support Barnsley and it's probably only one of two promotions witnessed by many of us, I'd say aye, it's worth celebrating. I'm already looking forward to it, and as Durkar points out we could be back in the Championship by then so double bubble.

    Its just my opinion, it was a great day, i loved it. My opinion would probably be different had we gone up as champions.

    Im sure previous promotions from years back were great days too but I dont recall us celebrating anniversaries those.

    Many people on here moan about the small club mentality, I just think celebrating a playoff promotion from league one 10 years on adds to it.

    Celebrating our one and only promotion to the the 1st tier would be different.

    Like I said my opinion, I wont have a dig at anyone who does go or disagrees etc

    I think the money that it'll help raise for local charities makes it worthwhile. The celebratory piss-up amongst former reds promotion heroes is a bonus.
