They hold the prime events back so they can be shown at peak times to make the most money from advertising
Or because they show nothing live live that they cant win. Even people in the USA are annoyed at them over the last week or so.
You have just been told the reason why they did not show it, yet you continue to believe something that is not true! Why?
No it's definitely because they make more money by showing them later when more people are watching. It's stupid and unfair to those wanting to watch live but you're an idiot if you think it's some conspiracy to hide showing americans losing.
I'd like him to have a crack at explaining why NBC chose not to show an AMERICAN winning gold in the swimming live and held it back to prime time. Perhaps NBC are sour about their own athletes winning now as well.
Not a rag I like to be associated with( makes my blood boil) but the answer is here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...n-Bolt-win-mens-100m-final-live.html?ITO=1490
I suppose now that he has been shown the error of his assumptions H/T will be back to say he was wrong. Wont he?
The NBC coverage has been truly appalling. I know, because I've given up trying to watch it. But the reason why has been explained in this thread already. Fortunately we have CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) that has had about 20 hours coverage each day - showing re-runs admittedly, due to the time difference, and I've had access to the BBC coverage (ahem!) so I've not missed a beat. CBC has also just done a 10-minute special on Britain's "greatest night of athletics ever". Very interesting perspective and made me very proud - again - to be British (and Canadian). (Apologies - a little off-topic I know).
