Keeper Adriano Basso has hailed boss Gary Johnson for having faith in him as he prepares to make his 100th appearance for Bristol City.

The 32-year-old shot-stopper is the only Brazilian to be playing in the Football League and claims his successful career at Ashton Gate is down to Johnson's support and influence. Basso, who joined the Robins from Woking in 2005, will play in his 100th game in the visit of Leicester on Saturday. He told the club's official website: "When I came here I was in a difficult situation and Gary gave me an opportunity to prove myself. He believed in me. All I can say is thank you to Gary for that. "I am very pleased to be playing my 100th game for the club. I want to give them what I have gave them for the first 99 games of my time here."
