    Stupid Decision

Dropping Rashid is a massive mistake. Best bowling figures the other night and not out with the bat. We can't go dropping Swann though can we if we are only playing one spinner.....

    If that were the case

Bopara would be opening the bowling with Strauss behind the stumps and Anderson in a "floating role". Actually, as we're one down in the series he'd probably bring on an extra few batsmen in the hope that that would sort it out.

I think I've taken this analogy about as far as I can be bothered to for now. It was a lot funnier in my head.

Obviously not Dreamboy as Swann's firmly established himself as the No.1 spinner (doh).

In the test side he has but this is one day cricket. Players should be picked on form not reputation (where have I heard that before?) so Rashid should have been one of the very first names on the team sheet today. Just hope Swann doesn't throw his wicket away like he did the other night and manages to get some wickets today.

    Fair enough.

They've done well by him so far bringing him in slowly. Against the Aussies you need that experience and Swann's got it.

    Plenty of time for him.

    This morning on Sky Sports

They had a feature on him saying how great he is and that's he's going to be a fantastic player. After one game.

He'll be good but that's a bit too much pressure. His confidence would be worse if he went out and got smacked about on a poor wicket.

After one game? He played in the 20/20 world cup and a couple of other one day matches for England. He's done excellent for Yorkshire and played at youth level for England. They have enough to go on to do such a feature. He had a full page on him yesterday in the Daily Mail.

    I thought yesterday..

    ....was his first full ODI?

And the full page spread is my point.
