"What we are trying to achieve at this football club is something that other people's expectations can't yet contemplate. If our natural home is League Two then we are massively, massively overachieving. Me and Flicker are under pressure, massively so - if the owner is only in his own timezone, and I can't blame him for that, then we have to get our thinking caps on. The success that we have dreamed about is not appreciated by everyone in this town. In fact those fans are a right set of wellwishers. But I have always had success in my own household. So why should this be any different? Danny Haynes wanted something we can't give him in the present set of expectations. This club is no place for intellectuals. I'll put a team out who can play to what we demand of them - even if they are tired. Our annual budget wouldn't cover Nigel Pearson's Starbucks bill. But we're punching above our weight, and we've been slimming since Christmas!"
