Before I start let me explain that I am an avid fan of X Factor - I love it! However, it's time the production team give up the sympathy spin when selecting candidates. Without the sympathy vote, Daniel would have left the competition in the early stages. Instead, people feel sorry for him, they vote and in the process an extremely talented person is booted out. Grrr
Never said they were brain surgeons. I've never seen anyone that can sing like Laura, Alexandra & Diana in clubs. I've seen loads like Daniel, though.
RE: Never said they were brain surgeons. The whole thing just leaves me cold, except for the audition rounds when I can laugh at all the delusional people. All this my music is so important to me rubbish, if it was so important they'd find some way of performing somewhere.
Its wrong in so many ways. Not only the sympathy rubbish, but giving the judges the final say on whom to get rid off! When it gets to this stage, they're going to get rid of the better person as they want the person in their category to win! Walsh voted Laura off because it gives his group a better chance of winning. And not only that, they aren't consistant. Apparently they are supposed to judge them on that final performance, but week in week out they say something different. "I'm basing this decision based on who i think hs more to give", then the following week its "This person has got more fight in them", then its "This person sang there last song better than the other person" The most corrupt programme on TV at the moment. Either give the fans the vote and the person with the lowest goes, or come up with something totally new, because it doesn't work this way!
If they're any good.. ..then they should be able to get a career in singing without winning X Factor.
It's not just X-Factor though.. This sort of thing goes on everywhere you look. In recent weeks, we have had two celebrities (that I can think of) attempting to promote themselves on the back of illnesses - one of which backfired badly.
