    Does anyone know a place in tarn that will flash xbox 360 and for roughly how much? Thinking of havin mine done.

    Icon on Sheff Road used to but last time i went he said they'd stopped it. Wizard Electronics do in Wake (just up from Wilkos) ar kids just had his second one done, if it's a new one it's harder apparently so costs more.

    i had mine over a year now kez. How much is it for it doing and do i have to give them my console for a few days. Cheers for replying mate.

    i'm thinkig of getting an xbox360elite , what does flashing do

    is it like overclocking , or chipping to be able to play copied games.

    if its like the old one then its updating the firmware on the drive to allow it to play copies/backups!

    as far as i know with the new firmware thats out, there is no need to keep updating. I think it depends on the model of the dvd drive in the xbox. Flashing means that they put a new software installed in the dvd drive that bypass the copyright on games therefore allowing you to play copied games. I want mine doing but struggling to find somewhere local that does it.

    its not illegal to flash the drive, it is illegal to download games off the internet and play them or sell them. Xbox say that you can make back up copies of every game you own. You just cant copy someone elses. Read into it what you think

    Think it's about 50 - 60 quid...

    my brother took his and he did it while he went shopping, couple of hours, suppose it depends how busy he is. I've had one since launch and it's been flashed ever since, have had the three rings of death but fixed that, it's just starting to play up with the reading of discs but that's normal with the lasers anyway. I do my own discs so can get u them unless u know someone, there's plenty of people around do em.
