If you bought it less than 12 months ago, take it back to where you got it from. If not, look on the Xbox website about returns.
RE: If you bought it less than 12 months ago, take it back to where you got it from. is it three lights? Because thats covered by microsoft for 3 years, Mine went on friday but it's one light and an E74 error code - that's not covered after a year so I had to pay 70 quid for it fixed by microsoft. Couldnt be without one for the 3 weeks quoted so bought a new one and sent the buggered one off to them, it's going to be repaired and I get another years guarentee for it. Anyone want to buy an xbox in 2 to 3 weeks for £90? its a 20gb premium, might throw in a game or 2.

RE: If you bought it less than 12 months ago, take it back to where you got it from. Your warranty doesn't reset for another full year. You may possibly get 2-3 months. I'm on my 5th Xbox360 /poo Reliability

If you've got an 2yr and 10 month old Xbox360 and you get the 3 RROD - On it's return, you don't get another 12 months warranty. You'll only get a small amount of time to cover the repair. This can be 1-3 months. I've had this argument out with Microsoft loads of times, the warranty is from Original Date of Purchase - The only time you can wangle an extra 12 months warranty, is if you return it to a store and they replace it and make the mistake in giving you a brand new dated receipt.
If you read my post again mine doesnt have rrod, it has one light and an error code and i have spoken to microsoft twice and both times I have been told I will get another year.</p>
It depends when you purchased it. All Xbox360's have a 3 year RROD warranty, if your console is 2 years old then yes, you'll have 1 year left for the RROD fault. If it's a launch console, then the 3 years is up on 5 December 2008.
