I recently bought a Xbox 360 premium which came with a HD-AV connector, i have connected this to my HD ready TV which according to the manual can receive up to 1080i. The Xbox Elite comes with a HDMI connector, whats the difference between this and the HD-TV connector?

Does the HDMI connector just give me 5.1 surround sound and make no difference to the picture? with the HD-AV connector the sound is coming through 5 speakers anyway. Am l missing something or basically does the HDMI mean you just get the same thing but its one simple connection without all the phono leads etc that come with the HD-AV.

    Cheers

    Not sure.

I just used the normal three leads because the HDMI made my screen go blue after a bit.

You still recieve a HD image regardless of the leads used.
Are you on xbox live yet?

    RE: Not sure.

Aye just plugged in the three leads and the two red and white audio leads leaving the yellow one free. Got surround sound through the home cinema and a HD picture. Cant understand why theres so many different connections available that deliver the same thing.
