My XBOX 360 is freezing when I am using it. It happens when I'm playing a game, or when I'm in the desktop.

What happens is that the screen looks like there has been interference and then it just freezes.

I've deleted my profile, deleted saved games, and cleared the cache but this hasn't cured it.

There are no red indicator lights.

I don't go on line with it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Symptoms of red ring of death...

Hopefully you are still under warranty because you will need to ship it off to Germany and microsoft send you a new one out.

    Not the red ring

The display is normal (one quarter of the circle yellow to correspond with the controller)

My was doing things like this, it was caused by it over heating. Was covered under warrenty sent it off to Microsoft n they fixed it never had a problem since.
I think they replaced the fan in it etc - does it get really hot? Mine used to but doesn't anymore only warm.

hi do u have a hard drive installed if so remove the hard drive and try it then.if this works the hard drive is knackered.if not in the next few days/weeks you will develop the red rings of death. i repair the red ring of death problem in most cases it will work .but in some it doesnt.

or the prob may be the disc drive maybe getting too hot this is due to overheating. lay the xbox flat do not stand upright make sure its kept of the carpet by about 8 inches, and that all vent holes are not covered or blocked.ideally sit it near a window slightly open then play hope this helps
if all else fails and the red rings appear i charge £45 for a fix no charge if it doesnt work.

Which is exactly the cure for Red ring of Death :) Ours had the red ring, found a cure on YouTube, wrapped it in
a blanket, switched on and it then overheated and reset itself. No problem since...
