What are you looking for?

If you want a system that will have plenty of life, go PS3. It'll be Sony's gaming platform for years and games are just starting to use the full capabilities of the technology. Will only get better.

If you want the one with the most games out now, go XBOX 360

If you have a HD TV and want a blu ray player thrown in, go PS3. Blu ray players alone cost as much as the PS3, and if you have a HD telly blu ray will blow your mind. Xbox also had a HD-DVD add on but its extra.

If you want one for general fun and entertainment a Wii would be best. Very interactive, great for having mates round or for kids

Not totally sure really. Fancy a decent games console but ideally it will be multi functional. Got a 1080p tv so appreciate PS3 with blueray would be good but if XBOX has HD DVD is that not just the same ??

Like the idea of being able to store photos/music on the Xbox though and being able to connect to surround sound with my music collection and view all photos on the tv at touch of a button.

Not that big on gaming but could be. Wife not interested but she likes sound of wii and does sound like it could be good to get all family involved or with friends. Just a bit concerned games wouldnt be as good though and would make best use of sound/tv etc.

I couldn't decide which to get and in the end my mate persuaded me to get a 360 because he was getting one at the same time.

I got the Elite one and I'm glad I did. The online will beat the online on the PS3, but PS3 will probably be the better of the games selection in a couple of years.

Just bought a 360. Call of Duty 4 is gaming crack. It ought to be illegal. Obviously the console is my xmas present, but I had to check it all worked. For two days solid :D

I'm sure the PS3 will grow up to be a super bit of kit, but there's just not the game support out there for it at the moment.

Kids are getting a Wii. In two months time I'll not be able to get them off Halo3 while I'm playing Wii bowling

If you're not that big on gaming

I don't think a games console is for you
