Does your router do MAC address filtering and if so, is it turned on?

If it is, then the network will be visible to all but your router will only assign an IP address to machines with known MAC addresses.

configure the device on your router to allow full access through it, using the correct ip address, subnet and DNS paths. works then.

All I did was turn on the 360, the wireless adaptor picked up the wireless router.

Typed in the Wireless routers pass code and that was it. Nothing to do with ip address’s or what provider you are with as its just a connection.

That was going through system setup and whatever setting you go through to get to the connection part.

After doing a search it was all easy to do and just set itself up really.
