it was only a car. it is only money. nobody was hurt. my seventeen year-old son crashed the missus' car yesterday. Going too fast on a wet road. Lost traction on the front wheels and then overcorrected and ran it into a cliff which was the edge of the road. Banged the passenger wing in and an outcrop of rock made a mess of the side. Golf Cabriolet only a couple of years old. Insured, though, but a $2k excess on a young and dumb driver. Why don't I feel good with all this good luck around?
Hmmm Bet you feel relieved though. As you say it could have been much worse. Why don't you make your son pay some of the excess and then he may not be silly enough to speed in future? Has the colt been named yet? (angel)
hello, Laura.... I am going to make him pay all of the two grand. He has this money because he has been saving up to live and work in Banff in the ski-fields for six months after his 'A' levs. (but I will work on ways for him to earn some good money from myself before he goes) There probably are some positives in this crash episode... but surely every kid can't go out and crash a car so that they can learn how to drive. Fact is he is a very responsible young man and a very good driver. If this can happen to this particular seventeen year-old then all of them are in danger... (as they are) As for the colt - we have put forward a list of names to the authority. They go down the list and let you have the first one which they think doesn't sound too much like the name of any other racehorse. We picked names out of a hat and the second choice is my 'Tiverton'. The first choice is like his parents and is full of ZZZZ's... It will still take a little while and I will let you know the outcome. I hope things are good for you at the BIG school..
