On there way back :D Wasn't that long ago they played us in the Championship. Hope the fans enjoy their moment. It's been a while since they had something to celebrate.

Back in the early 1970s, I played for Bristol,Polytechnicl in the Bristol Mid-Week League. Due to fixture congestion we once played back to back games on the same Wednesday afternoon.

incidentally the pitch is now underneath the flats at the Ashley Down end of the Gloucestershire CCC ground.

My old neighbour and Barnsley born Kirk Jackson scored 19 league goals when they broke the Conference points record in 2002 when they were managed by Gary Johnson. Also in that side was Michael McIndoe.
