As time goes by............its plain to see that Ritchie

Was a good motivator of players
BUT...............a poor football manager

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

I think Ritchie did, didn't he? His argument was that money wasn't available for the players he felt would improve the squad. There is a difference.

not true

This time last year ritchie was saying that he would only sign players better than what we had. The only place that you heard any mention of not being able to afford what he wanted was the official site and the quote wasnt from him.

It's different as well

being able to attract the quality of player you want after you've survived a season, to when you've just got promoted.

AGREED

Ritchie said that the only players we could afford at the time, were no better than what we already had and in that case he would go with what we had .
He did not say at any time that there was NO money.
This season we are in a better position to bargain for players having stayed up and I seems that Shep and the Board realized their mistakes from last year and have made more money available.
Having said that, we have not signed anyone that is a surefire certainty to improve the team, Peruvian international? Is he obviously going to be that much better than a Welsh international? Division 1 striker? We had them last year, Dutch Fullback dont know ?
It remains to be seen how much better they are.

By the way I dont understand how you can state that Ritchie is a bad manager, got us promoted, oh yes I forgot , we were lucky for a full season.

No one has ever denied there was money for transfer

fees last year. The issue was the strict wage structure imposed by the Chairman which stopped us signing experienced, quality players. For example, Shuker was not re-signed for the sake of £5k a year, turned down by Ward, Foster.

But then again, what's the point in telling you the same stuff over and over again? You don't listen anyway.

No No No

Whats the difference between.........................
Not enough money to improve the current squad
AND
No money

They both sound the same to me (dunno) (dunno) (dunno)

AND
Are we suggesting here that the players that are currently being brought in are no better than Paul Hayes and Mark Richards??????
Because the quality of player now being brought in was out there at this time last season
And this can be seen with Daveys make do and mend signings mid-season

WELL ???

I know they both sound the same to you. That's why I'm bored

with trying to explain the difference to you, yet again, of what having a set wage structure that you are not prepared to break means.

Which make do and mend signings

McCann-rubbish
Knight -Rubbish
Eckersley-Rubbish
Mattis -Rubbish
Jones - that rubbish he couldnt get off the bench
Raijczi- decent player, not enough goals
Reid- one trick pony, not good enough
leaving Stan- good for some early goals , then decided he wanted to be a wrestler
and Nyatanga- excellent LOANEE
Rest of team was same as before.

So...........this season

They have broken the wage structure ???
And got better players

Or

Has the wage structure been maintained (hence the players coming in from low payed countries)
And still got better players

Which one is it?
And how certain are you of your answer?

I am saying is Mosstto definitely better than Nardiello?

Of course I would like Craig Bellamy to play for us FFS.
No bums on seats signing yet, what we have needed for years is CENTRE HALVES, yet all the managers we have had want sign is anything but!!!!!!!

What we need is a Steve Davis

in fact when we had Steve Davis there were two or three kicking about, all with the same name.

Is there any new Steve Davis's available.

Good name, always decent players, football or snooker.
