    I've seen worse. Some of the dross we had in League One for starters.

    The bunch that included Paul Gibbs is the worst BFC side I've ever watched.

    But by Nudger's "logic", if Hill is the best manager ever but the performances are still so poor then it must be down to the quality of the players. Or maybe Nudger is rambling inanely. It's one of the two.

    I think he will do a good job for us. He's not a three million pound player for nothing and he will be enthusiastic to be playing regularly again and eager to impress both us and Leicester with his performances.

    Jesus wept, did you want Leicester's first choice striker? cos that's realistic.

    Imo, Martin Waghorn has provided one of the most memorable performances by an opposition player at Oakwell that I can remember in recent memory. Hope it's true but I can't see it

    While I agree I think he'd do a job for us, the fact that he cost Leicester £3million means nothing. I mean how much did Maceo Rigters cost Blackburn, sure I once heard it was over £4million, and for me, he's the worst player i've ever seen pull on a Barnsley shirt, and I vaguely remember Deon Burton and Dave Regis.

    Let me spell it art for thi cocker.................

    When a player is brought to a new club there is always a risk that that player will be unsuccessful - no matter which team it is or which manager it is.
    In the case of Barnsley......because PC hasn't got much money to put into the club, Keith Hill has had to rely on lower division players and players from reserve teams so consequently THERE IS A MUCH HIGHER RISK INVOLVED - but even so, the vast majority of the players that have been brought in by Hill have been a success and can now be regarded as Championship players.
    So this of course makes you (to anyone with a modicum of brain power) wonder what Hill would have done if he had got the chance of working with already established Championship players
    However, there hasn't been enough money to go around to properly cover two areas in the team - striker and centre half. Any injuries or suspentions in those two key areas and we are foooked - and thats why we find ourselves where we are.
    That is to say - its not Keith Hills fault that he cannot bring the players in that he knows he needs. Hence his comments about funding.
    So the sooner PC sells the club the better it will be to all concerned.

    I didn't know they were a new poster, it doesn't say how many posts they've done when im on my mobile.

    I got a text from my brother saying we were after Martin Waghorn and had a look on here.

    Seen as my brother doesn't use the bbs and had been at work all night, I assumed there must be something in it.

    Saying this squad is the worst we've had is pathetic, nowhere near, apart from the odd season here and there we are more or less doing exactly the same as we have over the last 25 years or so. For many of those year we were competing on a fairly level playing field in terms of finances, we aren't skint now it's just the other clubs have more cash than us or an owner who is willing to bankroll mid-table mediocrity.

    During the Parkin era I really felt the only club I've ever cared about was dead but Mr Cryne thankfully stepped in - we are nowhere near as bad as those days.

    The only real problem this season has been the lack of striking options, we are good value in terms if the other positions and there are at least three teams worse than us...Ipswich, Peterborough and Wednesday for the drop, us about 10 points clear.

    You haven't really answered the question Nudge - you've just rambled again. Wondering what Hill might have done with better players does not really prove that he is the best manager ever - or even an adequate. You might as well wonder what kind of a player Odejayi would have been if he had ability and desire.

    And Nudger, just because someone doesn't see what you think you see doesn't make them thick.
