It's the future of football. Sport has gone out of the window when football is determined by foreign billionaires, TV pays £100 million for a team that finishes bottom of the Premiership, and who is to blame? The FA , for being steamrollered by greedy chairman into separating the Top division from the Football League. In the seventies we saw Orient, Northampton and Carlisle and later Swindon and Barnsley ply their skills in the top tier. It is now dead, and the ambition of the 'smaller' clubs killed, unless of course they 'sign up' some lunatic 'investor' to throw millions at them. Who would have imagined a team from Bournemouth with gates of less than 12000, competing with the best, retaining their Premiership status, without the influx of millions of pounds from one of these investors, who will now receive £100 million for his gamble?
Whooooooooshhhhh.... its gone over my head too mate... what club down the road are they on about ? I do agree that the smaller clubs are now restricted . I even think the championship also will become out of many clubs reach... Barnsley included sadly.
