A few posts about the ref so here is another one. I said to wife before game we wont get anything today, not only did the Rovers players ref the game, their manager/coach did. Before the game during the warm up, the officials were warming up on the halfway when their coach walked over to the ref who had a very cosy chat with each other for 5 mins, they laughed and joked with each other and then left with a handshake and walked down the tunnel together.....paranoid maybe but his performance didnt do anything to ease my suspicions. The game, 3 points. We will play better and lose so we need to be happy with that. Rovers werent the worst side weve played. Their head bandaged player was all over our defence who stood up well, they looked poor when they took him off. Pennyless looked injured from my perspective, 2 yard slower and got beat for pace too many times. 3 points we take that!
The most frustrating issue is that the FA will never accept that the standard of their officials in general is atrocious so nothing will ever change. I know that players make their jobs more difficult but some of the decisions we see almost every week are a joke.
