    A very dissapointing day altogether.
Mass chaos at the club regarding supporters coaches. BFC managed to **** it up again. No proper stewarding to organise 3000 fans and 60 odd coaches. In so doing we didnt set off till 9.20. Would it have really cost a lot to bring a dozen stewards in for a couple of hours Mr Shepherd???

Trip down wasnt too bad until we hit twenty miles outside London. It took almost as long to do the last 20 miles as it had to do the rest of the journey. How anyone could live down there i dont know.

Eventually after the trawl through the industrial estate, we parked up at 2.50 in so doing it was to late to try and enjoy any atmosphere or a couple of pints.

Prices insisde the stadium. Was i seeing things when it said £6.10 for a pie????
Massive stadium, seemed good views from wherever with the obvious the further you sit away the smaller the players were.
Impressed with the big screens showing replays and highlights at half time. But where was the atmosphere?

The match i felt was a bit of a let down. We probably edged the first half but never looked that threatening. in the second Cardiff were in control except for the Odejayi moment. I just think they were the better side overall, could pass and move very confidently. The lads tried but i it was more like watching a League game than a cup match.

Getting out of the ground was difficult. Basically too many leaving at once. Eventually after spending over an hour in the coach park we didnt have a bad run back. Arrived back at Oakwell for 11.40. So i think i spent 11 hours on a coach today. Ouch

Overall i still think it should have been played at Old Trafford and as much as they make out Wembley is great it lacks character for me and the atmosphere was very poor. Cardiff stadium/city was more enjoyable than Wembley.
Anyway been there done that and hope i dont have to do it again.

is this all you ever do mccarthy moan?? You knew about the prices... you didnt have to buy a pie... i went via train masses went up to wembley park, due to a train fault at wembley central, i still got home, at the end of the day you went to the best stadium in the country to follow your team. The only thing i agree was the atmosphere, it was terrible.

    Trip down was a mare

We had booked parking at a pub a mile and half from the stadium, expected to be there between 12.30 and 1.00, few drinks, a bar meal and banter with the cardiff fans. We set off at 9.00, had a 20 minute stop off and were still queueing at staples corner at 2.30. We ended up just making the kick off. I bet many more were in the same boat.

So what was good about yesterday?

If you enjoyed yesterday then fine but in my opinion it was an awful day from start to finish.
Most of it could have been avoided if we had not played it at Wembley.
i didnt like Wembley the first time i went and a shiny new stadium to look at doesnt make it any better the second time.
Sorry but im not awestruck like you

It was a day out, ive experienced it and i dint like it. End of.

Well the likelyhood of us going to Wembley again

is slim. Probably the play offs most likely. But no i think i would rather us get promoted automatically than go through that again. It wasnt that good.
And to say something a bit controversial i think the Fa cup is the most overated trophy in the world.
I wasnt that upset we lost yesterday, but if we had lost in the play off final two years ago i would have been devastated.

You never have anything good to say, if you didnt like it the first time you shouldnt have gone the second time, you moaned about the queues, the weather in the queues, how you got to wembley on a coach, the game, the stadium the atmosphere, the prices at the stadium (which i presume you knew about). I feel your a ungrateful Moron for the club.
I throughly enjoyed my experience, i could have found about 100 people who would have gone in the place of you...

    Thanks for the insult

So can you give the 'moron' an answer to the question i asked you. Or is that too difficult?
By the way have you targeted my posts ? You seem to know quite a bit about what i say.
If you had gone through the trip i and many others had done you would probabaly have a different view. As for the ticketing and the organisation (lack of) its a dig at how the club is run. Simply put if you think Barnsley FC give good customer service then maybe you should really have a think about who the moron is?

No i didnt know the prices but even if i did can you really justify them? And i went to Wembley a second time because i hoped it would be better than the first and most of all i went to support a team i have followed for a very long time.
Also if you read ALL my posts i dont always moan. I give praise when it is due but i also tell it like it is.
If you dont like it. DONT read my posts!

am not targetting in your posts, it annoyed me as youve moaned, i am just sticking up for the club i love, sense told you with the ticketting arrangments the club was unorganised yet you paid and went with the officail reds travel (your choice), when i saw that i said to myself train and tube which i did do cost me a little more. am telling you how it is and how i feel and o dunt want the club I love and support, your not on ya own. i do agree with some points you make about yesterday the prices were ridiculous, £8.00 fish n chips. I just am sick to death of the moaning. When you give praise let me know i will probably back you up

I feel sorry for you in terms of the coach jouney. My mate was in a smilair situation and spent 6 hours on the coach getting there and just made it in time for kick off. On the way back the driver took a wrong turn and they ended up at Heathrow airport finally getting back around midnight! I went with my dad and we parked at Watford free of charge and then got a train to wembley central £2,30 return so cant complain about that.
