Had a cracking day with Fired,Hicksey and a lad that comes in my local.Some good ale in the New Barrick Tavern- topped off with pork pies from Fred Silverwoods butchers ( cuderth) I was a bit surprised at the hard and unpredicability of the pitch? they cleared all the snow but forgot to make the pitch properly playable ( IMHO ).The posts on here regarding Hassells performance are spot on - the prozone myth has been properly burst and I hope Flicker`s eyes have told him that here we have the bloke to play in the middle of a back 3 ( then again most reds knew that ) can spot the danger signals and talks through the team . Tom Kennedy was just as good and there is hope ( yes there is ) that in this 20 game mini league we found ourselves in prior to the leeds game where we finish this season is in our own hands.We need 3 players urgent and its fair to assume that Flicker has people in place to come in this week/next.I would have swopped the cup win for 3 points on tuesday but bugger it - lets get the 3 as well as the 5 th round of the cup.
