Colgan could not be blamed. Kozluk had a very poor game need to improve. Lewin didnt look as good as he did last season, but then again he played his better games along side Kay Reid was shocking and should be shown the door. Andy Johnson, not as could as Togwell
johnson is better than togwell,better passer,better tackler,more exprience,after one game you make that judgment.
Reid worst player on the pitch by a distance If you exclude the disastrous cameo from Werling I'm sure last season we let in far more goals when he was fit and played in the centre than any other centre half. Didnt think Kozluk was that bad - nothing special but not awful for a first game Same goes for Johnson and Mosto Thought Souza and Odejayi showed great potential. Really dont understand why Souza didnt play centre half with Nyatanga - Souza would have been much more effective on Kyle
Werling as a defender he's alright but not great, but he can put a cracking cross into the box when he runs upfield. at least he's a left back, so christ only knows why he was on the bench when we didn't have a left back on the pitch.
I'm one of Reidy's biggest fans, and I really do think he will come good this season, but he was very poor on Saturday. I think after the first 10minutes he took charge of the defence and started playing how we know he can, but at the same time...Nyatanga seemed to disappear aswell! Let's hope this was just a blip because I really do hope the lad proves all his doubters wrong.
It's a shame that he's just not a Championship standard Centre Back. Great guy, committed and loves the Club and all that, but...............
