Was up in north Yorkshire in a wooden lodge with **** all phone connection all xmas. I considered making the 170 mile round trip to watch the game but decided against it. There was a bar nearby so managed to listen to the first half on player on my phone via wifi, but it shut at 4pm so missed the whole second half.

WTF happened. First half half sounded like we were on top and unlucky not to be winning by 1 or 2 goals. Got back to the lodge about 4:20 put tv on and we were losing. With how the first half sounded on player I fully expected to get at least a draw.

We never play well in the 2 nd half , must drink ovaltine at half time , as we let them take the game to us instead of taking game to then

I think that wet get tired in the second half, because we have too many players who run with the ball, rather than making the ball do the work.

They stepped it up for 15 minutes, we found it difficult and they scored. If Bolton play how they did for that 15 minute spell in the rest of their games this season they'll score against just about any opposition they're up against.

That wasn't the problem. Sometimes the opposition just get in to a groove and you've got to hold your hands up and say for that period they were better than us and deserved the goal. Our problem was that we didn't convert our chances in the periods when we were on top.

We're not scoring enough goals. We've scored 5 in our last 10 games. We've failed to score at all in 6 of those. The scorers of those 5 goals: Tudgay, O'Brien, Pedersen, McCourt and Mellis. Only O'Brien started yesterday and he was the only one who looked like scoring. We need McCourt and Mellis back in the side at the expense of Perkins and Dawson, who just won't score. And we need Pedersen back to the kind of form he showed when he first arrived. He looked excellent then, but he's been very disappointing since and if he can't do it we need to send him back and get someone in who can.

Apart from Wiseman going walk about for 10 minutes the defence looked good yesterday. It has done for a while (Birmingham at home apart). With Bobby Hassell sat in front of them it will continue to do so. We need to get the flair players on the pitch so we're a threat at the other end. Danny couldn't do that yesterday, Mellis was suspended and McCourt recovering from injury, but unless we start doing it soon we'll continue to lose games by the odd goal.
