Well deserved victory with the Reds in control for good parts of the game and good defending when their backs were up against the wall.

Ok the two goals they got were a bit sloppy but, just for a change, we got more than the opposition.

The ref - how does a referee who spent last year in the Blue Square Premier end up reffing a Championship match? His inexperience showed on lots of occasions - failing to book the "big club's players" for cynical challenges yet penalising us for relatively mild ones. And the back pass - well!! To not even speak to the keeper is incredible. If it wasn't a sending off offence surely a booking was the minimum. Luckily we have a number nine with a cannon for a shot so we put it right.

Finally, and not wishing to stir up any trouble where none exists, have Flicker and Marlon had a falling out? They definitely exchanged words at the end of the first half with Harewood stomping off up the tunnel. At the end, with the mass love-in going on between players and officials, I didn't see so much as a handshake between the two. If anyone who was there DID see one then I stand corrected, but the tv coverage appeared to show them ignoring each other. I hope I am wrong about that because the togetherness of the whole set up looks fantastic.
