Played crap for first 30 minutes. Pools were first to every ball, we gave away possession too easy, poor marking at the back, players caught out of position too often.
Lucky not to be three down, thanks to crossbar n excellent Colgan save, then grabbed a goal against run of play and turned into a different team. Should have been 3-1 up by break.
Second half looked good for first twenty minutes but no cutting edge and a few good saves by their keeper kept it level. Last 20 minutes or so could have gone either way but draw probably fair result.
No player really stood out. We lacked a bit of width, Not many good crosses, apart from a cracker by McParland. Despite all the strikers Ritchie has brought in i am still not convinced by any of them. Defence can look jittery still and midfield lacks balance now Burns is gone.

Overall it could be a point thats important come the end of the season. For me its still in our hands. Ok some results went against us yesterday but the top two lost which shows noone is going to run away with the league. I reckon the whole 6 places will still be up for grabs come the last couple of games of the season.

Must win v Bournemouth Setdy to put pressure back on!

    Keep the faith!

    McPhail stood out for me

agree for the first 25 mins or so we were strictly second best but thought we were containing them and they were running out of ideas in the period prior to the equaliser, then, as you say we controlled long periods of the game, McP ran the midfield, his ball control and distribution was superb at times, my only fault re him is he doesnt score enough goals, game we could have won, a point not too bad but overall i thought we were the better side, although a draw after 15 mins didnt look on the cards at all

    Need more free kicks

The players need to win more free kicks in dangerous areas. We dont get to see McPhails free kicks enough. Can be enough to win a game yet i can only remember one free kick near box all afternoon

Thought when we did get forward we often made the wrong decisions and limited ourselves to half chances.

Kay scored yesterday didnt he? Howard, Shuker and Devaney have all got in on the act. Its the strikers that arent weighing in with anough goals Surely?
