Completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks yesterday in just over 10 hours. The heat was horrible though, def slowed us down on the last peak when we were looking for around the 9 hour mark.
Great day though, and suffering a little this morning! lol.
Over 300 people took part in the event helping to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Still time to donate if you wish to, http://www.justgiving.com/carlmellor3peakschallenge/

Brilliant performance, mate Especially when taking into account the heat. Well done Carl, you're a star.
Like I said to a couple of people, the issues with the heat are nothing compared to the pain that the people who Macmillan support go through
I understand what you're saying But what you've achieved IS something special and the people you mention will also be extremely grateful for your efforts. (respect)
I did it in 12 hours mate so you did really well, busted my knee coming down whernside so ingleborough was like torture, that and i got stonking sun burn, ha. Never realised how hard it was going to be, lots of people packed it in yesterday because of the sun
Still a good effort mate, least you got the end! The first 10 miles were bliss, overcast and breeze on the tops made it easier. Was hell when the clouds lifted and sun was blazing.
Hardest thing i have ever done, was a real struggle to get up and over ingleborough especially in that heat. We had to stop for about 40 mins at that second check point just to get in the shade and cool down for a while. Glad its all over now.
Going up last one we had to keep stopping at the streams and sticking our head in them and soaking caps in them. Fifth time I have done the walk and never have I done it in heat like that.
Aye well done mate and a very worthy cause indeed, in fact one that i donate to every month. I have a colleague here who did it over the weekend in a time of 23hours and 25mins and although they were slowed down by an injured friend who was determined to complete the challenge (so he claims anyway) it puts your achievement into perspective.
