It’s probably a day like many other where Yorkshire folk pretend we are vastly superior to other folk. Bit daft really but I guess the marketing and tourist boards like it.
Yorkshire Day today's the day for gerrin up - mashin theesen some tea - donning thee flat cap and taking whippet out for a walk - popping into shop for a pie - 'ow much?' - convincing thee sen tha's not tight with money - just sensible. then it's off for a game of nipsy and ferret legging competition before taking lass out for some supping. Aye lad mebe Yorkshire Day will be the day Club hears it's not being relegated - it'll take a miracle as every Tyke knows every other bugger is ready to put thee down. O/T I asked my WELSH mate how many sha*s he's had to date -- he started counting then fell asleep.......(think about it!)
Every county has a ‘day’, and their celebration is hit and miss (like ours). I know several people who’ll be flying a Yorkshire flag today.
I love this on the club's official Twitter page. https://twitter.com/BarnsleyFC?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author Nice one, Whitey.
Happy yorkshire day from Kippa "Born a Yorkshireman/woman means you've won first prize in the lottery of life"
It did but the majority of smoggies still maintain their Yorkshireness and I think that’s why Yorkshire day was created as I think there was more than Boro moved out of Yorkshire wasn’t Todmorden moved out at one bit ?
