Ingredients for pancakes: flour, eggs, milk, sunflower oil, a bit of sugar. Ingredients for Yorkshire Puddings: flour, eggs, milk, sunflower oil. ergo It's all in your head mate.
I don't put sugar in pancakes - it's just a thinner batter. Oh and it really ought to be a bit of lard for a Yorkshire Pud.
My eldest 2 loved visiting my mam on a Sunday or Monday coz that's exactly what they got and loved them.I used to love it when I was a kid as well. What's not to like.
That's what surprised me. Someone in the office said exactly that. I've never had jam on it, as it sounds awful ... I hadn't realised it was actually a thing. As someone wrong above though, it seems it's in my head.
Too right - sunflower oil!! - pah thats far to la di dah - My Grandma would have disowned me if Id been caught near Yorkshires with sunflower oil. Has to be Lard. Also I put a bit of salt in yorkshires
