    Mi dad used to have em with currants in .....with gravy :(

    Apparently a place in Whitby does a full English in a giant pudding. I love both but not together :rolleyes:

    never had it, but is it actually any different to pancakes with jam, which are lovely

    I don't put sugar in pancakes - it's just a thinner batter.

    Oh and it really ought to be a bit of lard for a Yorkshire Pud.

    My eldest 2 loved visiting my mam on a Sunday or Monday coz that's exactly what they got and loved them.I used to love it when I was a kid as well. What's not to like.

    what's not to like? Yorkshire puds as a mains (with gravy n stuff) n any left over as a sweet!

    That's what surprised me. Someone in the office said exactly that. I've never had jam on it, as it sounds awful ... I hadn't realised it was actually a thing. As someone wrong above though, it seems it's in my head.

    Too right - sunflower oil!! - pah thats far to la di dah - My Grandma would have disowned me if Id been caught near Yorkshires with sunflower oil. Has to be Lard.

    Also I put a bit of salt in yorkshires
