So. Does anyone know where I can plot out the fasting walking route from a random list of postcodes? If that makes sense.
Not quite what you asked but I find this link very useful when off camping in the wilderness. http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/cleveland-way/distance-calculator It's entitled Cleveland Way but if you drag the map around you can measure a planned walk anywhere in the UK by drawing it on the map.
Thanks all. Do you just put in start and finish and vias? Or will it sort it all out for me into the right order?
Go to Google Maps. Type a place/postcode in. Then it'll bring up that place. Then, you can get directions to it, by then adding where you're setting off from. Again, place name, street name, postcode, whatever. It then gives you approx time to get there, takes into account current traffic, gives you the bus routes, and the walking route and estimated time it'd take. It's been handy for me for the last two and half year getting to grips with Bradford.
Aye thanks YT. But I know how to do that, how simple do you think I am? I want to go from a-b taking in cdefghijklm etc on the way. And I'm not even sure where the best points for a and b are. Ive just got a list of addresses. Can you do that on Google?
Dunno mate. Can't you just put all the addresses into google maps, one by one, and add it all up? You **** off.
Most sat navs have an 'on foot' option Select Start point- add destination. Add way points then 'optimise route' and it works out shortest route. Some sat navs though only allow a limited number of way points.
