We've been asking for 4-4-2 for weeks now with Hammill and JCR out wide...and it hasn't worked. Its our own fault. You'll see. 5pm. Davey's interview. He did it for us and he has been proven right.</p>
Hammill played out wide for about 15 minutes of the 1st half 2nd half he went missing apart from the few times he was standing on Devaneys toes
I can see where you're coming from - that will be the excuse BUT we all know that it never happened. What was JCR? Some sort of a holding play maker today? JCR, Andranick and Anderson literally falling over each other at times as the midfield got so congested. We had one winger in the first half - Hammill (and full marks to him, he played with 100% effort, and he kept delivering the ball into the danger area). It should have been Hammill on one side, JCR on the other, stretch them wide. Anderson and Colace ball winning and hitting the wings. Macken and Boggy staying in the area looking for the crosses. We AGAIN saw the same old **** with Macken going short, or making runs into the corners. How many times? We need the strikers in the box, where they might actually get on the end of something. Rubbish in the final third, totally disorganised. Falling over each other in midfield, playing some strange alien formation that Cagey Davey dreamed up last night. Clownish and incompetent at the back letting in three very poor, soft goals. We have relegation stamped upon us, and on todays performance I have to say we deserve it. Only thing is - no matter what Davey says, don't ever be fooled into thinking that today was the result that did our legs. It was the points we threw away against Forest, and Watford, and Blackpool, and Charlton and Derby that have really cost us. DAVEY OUT!
