They love a bite. I can't remember anyone saying we sold out at Belle Vue, no-one wanted to go to the shithole, it was like going back in time. Still more than the 1800 they brought to Oakwell. 1,800 & 2,300 they've brought to Oakwell in the last two seasons at the peak of their history, we've sold out the Keepmoat twice and took 2,600 last year. http://www.drfc-vsc.co.uk/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=999999&id=205927&Itemid=108D And the Pikeys calling us six fingers, oh the irony. Quicker they're back to the conference and the proper derby games return the better.
I have seven days off work, and clearly too much time on my hands! The funny thing is, I never really intended to wind em up, and the msg started 'Well done Rovers'.. I just said that maybe this time - now they have improved - that they will hopefully give us a game. It must have been the bit where I said we have 3 consecutive home games, what with our terrific expected away support at the Keepafloat... Fortune gone, Ikeme gone, Diouf going, and King Billy... shame
We did sell out at Belle Vue though. You could hardly breathe in the away end at the start of the game. Not too many on the away end by the time the fourth went in but that's another story. Mr Frost proves - never trust a gypsy.
That youtube clip shows that there's well over a 1,000 reds fans there that night, l went after third along with loads of other's, he's probably looking at the away end at the end of the game when everyone had gone, its still well over half full in that clip, it held nearly 2 and a half thousand.....Debating with Donny over crowds, our average attendance must be on its arse!
