Lets just think here for a minute. From an outsiders point of view. Look at our squad and the players LJ has had at his disposal. Its criminal where we are in the league. He has failed thd players and reds fans. Always seen as. Mr Nice guy if so why has so many players been frozen out or not given a run of games? Connor Wilkinson - Northern Ireland U21, won MOTM in their last 2. The lad scores on his reds debut then gets dropped and confidence shattered. Hasn't Impressed me but then again he hasn't a run of games and I've only seen him as late sub. Paul Digby - Many arguments about this lad. But fact remains he has never been given a run of games. I believe if he were at any other club in this division he would be starting every game. The plaudits he gets, does he not deserve a run of 5-6games. Then lets judge. Dan Crowley - The next big thing to come out if Arsenal. The way LJ talked about him you'd think he would statt every week. But no, limited appearance. Never got a run of games but yet showed us glimpses of the talent he has in late sub appearances. Michael Smith - just the player we needed. Big man with a big reputation. And proven goal scoring record. Another player given limited opportunity. One start I believe. Yet out of form Winnall started every game. James Bree - Starts the season playing well. Then dropped for Wabara who is physically and techically strong but decisions and positioning are awful. Mark Roberts - Big defender. Hasn't lost a header all season. Started well in a settled side. Then dropped and returned to unsettled out of confidence team. We miss his presence at the back IMHO. Simeon Jackson - experienced, has pace, great first touch, energetic and looks like he has come to play. More talent than an other forward in the squad but gets limited game time. Brad Abbott - this lad looked the real deal 2 seasons ago. Hasn't played since. Odd! Adam Davies - playing well at the start of the season in a settled defence. Then LJ dropped him, Bree and Roberts. We have looked shaky at the back ever since. Joe Rothwell - highly rated man u youngster. Hardly played as we had signed to many players in that position. Ruined confidence and like Crowley returned to his parent club. So in summary LJ doesn't know his best XI, or certainly does not play them. And a common theme is dropping players when they are doing well, shattering confidence and unsettling the side. He is out of his depth and IMHO if we stick by him we will go down. Interestingly. IMHO If you spoke to fans of other clubs our starting XI would be very different but perhaps they would be right. IMHO many would go with Davies Bree, Roberts, Mawson, White Williams, Digby, Crowley, Hammill Jackson & Smith Paper talk linking Bree and Digger to Man U. And paper talk of Arsenal talent Crowley. Roberts impressed many opposing fans in the Everyon game as did Crowley. I wonder, if we started the season with this side and stuck with them how we would fair. Digby may take 6+ games to get up to speed but we haven't given him that chance. Wabara has been awful for the last 10 games but he gets picked.
