    SUPPORTERS MUST BUY SHEFFIELD WED TICKETS FROM THE TURNSTILES ON WEDNESDAY

    BARNSLEY supporters wishing to purchase tickets for this weekend's South Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday (March 1, 2008, KO 3.00pm) must do so at the Oakwell turnstiles on Wednesday February 27.

    Please note that supporters must pay with cash only on the turnstiles and no tickets whatsoever will be on sale at the Oakwell Box Office in the build up to the big game. The Pontfract Road End turnstiles will be open from 2.00pm to 8.00pm.

    Please note that this match is ALL TICKET and no match tickets will be on sale from the Oakwell Box Office after Wednesday.

    I think they need to open turnstiles on Thursday and Friday as well to give people every chance of getting a ticket.

    I knew this would become a problem, so I ordered my tickets over phone last week and received them the day after but that was before the Chelsea details were announced.

    Why don't they sell them on the turnstyles tomorrow night?

    Entering turnstyle for the QPR match, "could I have a Wednesday ticket as well please?"

    I'll be staying at home then

    Only worked out so I could get to the match this weekend, but I live in London, so luckily didn't fork out for a train ticket.

    Course, we could probably all ring up Hillsborough and be able to book tickets in the away end over the phone!!

    Still, it'll be the last time that the box office descends into farce...until the next time we have a big game, anyway! Hopefully the relevant people at Oakwell are going to contact other similar sized clubs to see how they manage to cope.

    But surely one way to look at it would be to consider that we could have a full house against Wednesday and a full house against Chelsea, as well as the FA Cup prize money and television money, and maybe decide whether a few temps for a few days would have been worth shelling out for??
