    down the side, what do they mean or show? cos sum r silver sum r gold

    The threads marked with a gold exclamation mark are popular threads (20+ replies, I believe).

    But what's the difference between MB and ! threads?

    Thought I was in a different world cos I couldn't see them. Then I realised I was - they aren't there when in "Thread" mode!

    Yup, you can only see those in the "threaded" mode.

    I think, but not certain, that the MB changes to an ! when new posts have been added to that topic since your last log in. At a guess the silver and gold relate to how many posts are in response to the thread. As I say, it's only a guess.
