...that the bloody sky had fallen in at 5 past 3 yesterday afternoon when Southend scored the opener. Some proper "prime donnas" sat near to me, effing and blinding at every mis-placed pass and one banging the cr@p out of the seat next to him when Mawson was (correctly IMO) booked near the end of the game. Don't forget; We were rock bottom at the end of November, booing the team off and calling for the managers head. 3 months later we sit 8th in the table, in no relegation trouble whatsoever, 3 points off the play offs with a genuine chance of making them if results go our way. I was disappointed with the performance yesterday, as most of us were. But we were always going to have an off day and lose at some point. More disappointing was the reaction of some of our so called "fans" to the defeat.
Some of our fans love to see us lose just for a good moan. We've been unreal and these players don't deserve the boo's/negativity. They know they didn't play well and they will be itching to put things right. Get behind em.
