The so called transfer committee who decided to populate the squad with young players. I don't think for one minute this is the route Johnson wanted to go. Every team needs older heads to guide them, but he was never given this. Those people in the committee wanted younger players to sell on at a profit, but we didn't even get those. All we have done is get loans in. That's where the problem lies. The table and chairs comment from last weeks meeting spoke volumes for me, tongue in cheek or not.
I think it's the team selection and Formation thats the problem. I honestly don't think the talent of the squads bad at all. People are obsessed with age and experience on this forum
So you don't think we need a steady hand at the back then, like Ramage for instance, who wanted to stay.
I think it is a bit of both. Yes, some experience in the side would be beneficial but some people are giving Johnson way too much slack because of the perception that he has not been allowed to bring in experience. A manager who knew what the **** he was doing would have got far more out of what we have got.
I'd agree with that to a degree. We have some talent in the squad but more potential than actually able to play consistently. Johnson is getting little or nothing from them. Oh and Ramage is a good lad but he had clearly 'gone' last season.
Anger is for more important things. To suggest that our head coach's hands have been tied to such an extent that we are bottom of the league despite his own best efforts, is clearly ridiculous. The coach has blessed, if not indeed selected, each and every recruit.
Just because Johnson doesn't pick the signings it doesn't mean he escapes blame for the ridiculous constant formation switches & personnel changes. 4 changes again today. There's no wonder we almost always start games poorly as the players are getting used to another system / different team mate next to them
