RE: Wire trellis, Spotted leopard, Paddy's, Ring o Bells, Wine Shades. Is there another Wire Trellis? The one at the bottom of Gas Nook was knocked down a coupla thousand years ago by the Romans.
Right old rough house too, full of marketeers, tracky bus drivers and miners with the occasional very bloody slaughterhouse worker from down Pontefract Road.
The Ring o' Bells was / is up Wellington St. if memory serves. Seem to remember being in there before a Saturday game when a bunch of Newcastle fans threw a chair or summat through the window at us. Reight set too.
