Bloody good side I reckon, despite yesterday not going right for you lot, first half especially I thought your movement & football was excellent (given your best player was out of the side aswell) you looked like the home side for long periods. Thought Perkins was excellent. 2nd half you certainly faded but your a top half team no doubt. As for the Sharp incident, if you put 3000 people together from any walk of life you will always get a small number of arseholes. The vilification aimed at all Barnsley fans by the social network brigades is wrong and unfair, hopefully the people that did shout stuff about his lad canbe named and shamed and thisput to bed.
Nice one. Cheers. Some people like to get the hairshirt on at the slightest opportunity. If there was a tosspot that chanted anything like that he should be made to go to Billy Sharp's house and apologise directly to him & their lass.
Can't see it based on us having no ****in brass. Be interesting to see how many loan signings actually played for Rovers yestdi. Only bonus for them is that they can freshen it up. What we needed to do was push for an early goal but we didn't have the best of starts really.
The keeper & Illunga (who isn't great) were our loan signings on the pitch yesterday. Yesterday Stock was like his old self something we haven't seen for a couple of years.
you are a credit to DRFC sir..not only that a credit to football fans in general. As you say there will always be a minority of hooligans/racists/ simply put nasty feckers. I wish you and yours and your team well ..and a happy and prosperous new year.
I doubt he would pass a medical otherwise he would have left long ago. Thanks Dragon, same to you mate.
We were terrible, never looked like scoring, but Keef always gives em the kick up the ar*e and they respond.
Take away all the Diouf's and Chimbonda's of this world and... Rovers start playing, no coincidence. 11 Fighters on the pitch for you yesterday, Stock and Coppinger bossed the game (Coppinger always does imo), Sharp was a handful up front, and depleted numbers or not, we simply weren't at the races yesterday. As Ronnie Moore said (however much it pains me to admit he was right), you stopped us playing down the wings, something you didn't do at Oakwell, which killed the threat from McEverly and to a certain extent, Wiseman (who I thought was our best player yesterday). Just hope you don't revert to all the 'superstars' when they're back from injury and scupper your progress, I mean we need at least 1 derby next season. As for the Billy Sharp incident, I know of nobody who heard any sort of chanting, only the odd mindless idiot, but I suppose every club has em. Hopefully they were picked up by the camera's which SYP were carrying around and have been dealt with. It's a shame social media seems to be running people's lives at the moment, and when there's fans of other clubs vilifying us for something we might or might not have said, it puts into perspective how much people are relying on such mediums of communication. Best of luck for the rest of the season, lets get shut of three southern(ish) teams, (would like to see the back of Coventry, Bristol City and Milwall).
