The Salient Braves: Guilty Until Proven Innocent

Sorry about the constant plugging, but I'm really proud of the songs and I think they deserve to be heard. Well...they will do once we get round to re-recording and replacing all the cr*ppy Band In A Box versions that are up on Myspace at the moment.

Sounds like HMHB's Dukla Prague Away Kit. Well, the verses do. The vocals on Guilty Until Proven Innocent are pure Paul Heaton.

Nice to hear someone from Barnsley having a go in the C86 genre and writing some tunes rather than just making a row.

    Cheers Jay

Big HMHB fan, so I was probably unduly and subconciously influenced by that track, definitely unintentional though. I think Nigel Blackwell would let me off on that one, as he's been known to borrow a tune or 2 in his time. I always take Heaton references as a compliment, he's a great vocalist.

Come back and have a listen in a few weeks time when we've updated all the versions of the tracks bar guilty. Noise can be good, but melody is the essence of any decent songs.

Sorry for hi-jacking the thread btw Don.

    RE: Wankface

Is that the name of the band or the 1st single Dirk? Or is at an eponymous release? Or are you just getting involved in petty namecalling?
Either scenario is pure genius. ;-)
