I just hope he's got good judgement as well. I was pissed off with the sacking of Ritchie. I was pleasantly surprised with the signings we made today ... if we can turn the good ones into permanent move. Then we get rid of McIndoe, a player who has stood out this season. If it comes off and things work out, I'll admitt I was wrong to be pissed off and hail him as a hero who was willing to take the tough decisions and put his balls on the block. If it doesn't go well those ball will look good on a Christmas tree. Of the signings we made, I think McCann is lower league and a gamble, Knight has moved about and might be tempramental (although McIndoe has a reputation for that), Wallwork has played at a decent level but also had the nickname Wontwork and a chequered history, and Reid looks like an out and out loan. If they are on loans and perform they could just be in the shop window and disappear come January if they show any promise - as per Chopra. Shepherd has certainly shaken things up. At the moment though I couldn't make a call as to whether he's made a massive mistake or we'll be shouting for statue of him outside the town hall. I'm not so sure their is any middle ground though, it's hero or zero.
I've not heard the radio today, but I've also not heard Mr Sheppard since last week. In fact the only voice I've heard from the club is Mr Cryne. Have I missed owt ?
also what are you on about re Chopra mate, he didn't leave in the transfer window.

Chopra came on loan did well, put in the shop window, sold to someone with more cash If the loan players do well, there's next to no chance we'll get to keep them. If they're ***** ...
Chopra Came for a short loan
Extended to a season and performed miracles (eventually)
Returned to Newcastle to try and earn his place there.
Failed to make an impact and a season later was sold to someone prepared to take the risk.
