2 blokes in the toilet at full time."I don't know why he's played Fletcher he's been cr.." other bloke "ay he should have played Winnall" first bloke replies "Winnall he aint done nowt for last 2 months".
Fletcher had a good game in my opinion. Passed a couple of times when he should have shot, but hardly gave the ball away and some good link up play
5-1 up against Rochdale and someone misplaced a pass (might have been Winnall) and this fella a few rows up "****ing **** reds" **** off Winnall" Astonishing. Moving seats next because he gets me down.
Personally I thought Watkins was man of the match today but Fletcher was a close second so not sure what they were watching but it's all about opinions I suppose.
Strange negativity from the off today. First half comments near me included gems such as, Hourihane never being captain material, Roberts far too slow, Fletcher not good enough, the team has always been **** and now it's showing, Watkins not good enough, Connolly a waste of time and should be taken off and even critsicism of Hammill's work rate. This was first half, before wwe all realised we were having a mare. Never usually criticise our long suffering fans but the sheer speed in which negative comments were screamed down from the Ponty was unreal.
I would agree watkins was best of a off form reds today. Fletcher did ok that chance he made and then toe ended it to keeper was frustrating though
I thought Fletcher's best work came in the form of getting the ball back off of them, he showed good strength today. I'd have given him MoM for that alone.
Fletcher is quality and we/I am going to enjoy him until he moves on. I believe he's going to be very, very good.
I think a lot of fans aren't idiots, they're just pissed. I don't drink at home games so I give my opinion on here but I don't bother when I've had a few at away games because it won't be an accurate reflection of the match.
Very bad day yesterday. I hope Smith starts left back and Williams right back next week though because Connolly was dreadful. Fair enough he might be nervous but if we're trying for top 6 we can't afford it, he looked so unenthusiastic, especially in the first half.
Every play they had was down that side, they knew he couldn't cope. Seemed to take a decade to decide what to do everytime
I tend to agree; I thought he looked out of his depth physically yesterday and it really showed particularly in the first half. That said, he seems very highly rated so it's far to early to write him off especially as many of our more experienced players weren't at the races either. It was just a bad day that we have to put behind us.
I thought Connelly had a poor game but it's not unexpected given his lack of experience. both Watkins and Fletcher were the pick of a mediocre bunch.
We started sitting elsewhere last season for the majority of games because the whole family sat behind us were morons. This season we officially swapped our seats.
