    I know it doesn't excuse the practice from a supermarket

    But most sell by and use by dates err very much on the side of caution and the product is still absolutely fine for a while after that. We discard far too much food.

    The amount of waste is amazing

    Although its ilegal to feed a pig from a supermarket skip.......

    I am amazed at what our small local coop slings out. One of banana and the whole lot goes.

    Someting is very wrong somewhere. been feeding organic pineapples and bananas, out of season rasps you name it to the lucky piggies recently. They seemed perfectly fine to me. no idea why they were slung out.
