    Just shoved it on to see what you were on about

    Saw the replays - surely the moment his foot touches the line he's out of play and a dead ball, he hadn't downed the ball at that point....don't get what the commentators were saying about him lifting the foot up again - how can you go out of bounds and back in again?

    His foot was not out because it was in mid air. He must have said that his left knee had gone over the line. The Aussie lovely person.

    The point was that if he had the foot off the ground as it reaches the line then you are still in play. A part of your body can cross the line as long as it isn't grounded. It was very marginal. He seemed to get the foot off the ground just as it touched the line.

    No, his foot touched the line and then he lifted it back up. It doesn't have to go over the line in rugby, on the line is out of play.
