12 golds for Great Britain, top of the medals table, some fantastic performances. However, the race of the championships was the women's 4x400 metres. It wasn't us, our 4 lasses performed really well and were a hair's breadth from gold, but the last leg from the French athlete was summat else. I've watched it a few times and it doesn't look right it's that good. There are no question marks about her taking drugs, it's whether she's actually a human at all that's bothering me. I've seen slower cheetahs.

It was an amazing surge she managed and she obviously timed the race perfectly - I dont know how she did it either

Shame we didnt have a fit Christine Ohuroughu though on the last leg as I think we would have managed gold - its really rare to see such a close finish in a 4x400 between 1st and 3rd

Made up for it though with impressive golds in the other 3 relays a greater day for UK athletics than the French

Didnt those games have the best Mascott ever - that Cow was brilliant

The cow was great. My 7 year old nearly p!ssed herself laughing at a video of it dancing, running and doing events like the high jump and pole vault.

Toby has someway to go to be in that league.

Completely agree. It's been a great championships from a British perspective, yesterday just capped it all off and to take 3 of the 4 relays. As previously said though the women's 4x400 was amazing, with about 150 metres left I was just thinking that the French would pip us for bronze, but that last 50 metres or so were something else, I had to watch the last lap again just to keep an eye on her.

And that mascot was great! Hurdling and doing the pole vault!

Great race, great Championships and good to finally see some strength in depth in the sprinting, who knows even Kathy Cook`s 200m record from 1984 may be in danger.

The mascot should have entered the decathlon, seemed quite adept at numerous events, even managed to get over the mens 110m hurdles. Hats off to the cow.

Brilliant championships, loved watching it. I love athletics anyway but when we're winning too its just about my favourite sport

I think about 13.9 seconds for the last 100m
